Project Narrative

Project Narrative  Music is a prominent force in everybody’s lives. To hear symphonies grace, bless us with the sound it produces, as it guides its way to our ears is phenomenal. Many people use music to help them through the roughest days that they could ever be going through. Music can help people physically, to get a workout going, mentally, from nostalgia and emotionally with lyricism. With all of this being said there is an issue at hand. The beautiful grand piano that resides within the NAC building of CCNY is tarnished. The piano has CCNY’s culture and history stored …

Self Reflection Essay

Zeenat Qanoongo Writing for the Arts and Humanities Spring 2022 Prof Brener   Self Reflection Essay Throughout this course of writing for the humanities and arts, there were many things I was hoping to learn and improve on throughout the semester. On my part, I did slack in this class and it was my mistake of taking such an early morning class, so as a result I was not there for most of the time, and I doubt I actually achieved the majority of the course objectives. I do think I slightly improved as a writer in terms of forming …

Journal Entry #2

For my op-ed i decided to swtich my topic from cultural apropriation to how women are precieved in desi culture. I decided to do a topic that was more personal to me after looking at other people’s op-ed’s. Cultural appropriation was a good topic, and i had known of it through a genre of music but it wasnt something that i felt like i could speak on personally. Aside from daily struggles, sometimes culture plays a hand in making their lives ten times harder. Take desi culture for example, where women tend to be put down often or belittled.
